In 2013 Goodwill of Southern Nevada kept over 21 million recyclables out of landfills – we did this with the help of great partners like Dell Computers, Nevada Recycling, and many more.

You may know all about the Goodwill cycle of giving – the cycle that begins when you donate your gently used items to Goodwill, then Goodwill sells those items in our stores, and it ends with the funds from those sales supporting job training and job placement services in our community. But did you know that by donating to Goodwill you’re also helping our planet?

Here’s how it happens:

Reduce: By making donating convenient and easy with over 30 donation centers, we reduce the amount of materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.

Reuse: We repair what we can and re-sell to bargain driven shoppers in the community

Recycle: What we can’t repair, we disassemble and separate the materials that is in turn sold to reputable state recyclers or salvage buyers.  This means more funding for our education, job placement and job training programs!
