In partnership with the North Las Vegas Municipal Court, Goodwill provides volunteer opportunities for individuals needing to complete court-ordered community service hours.

The program creates a substantial savings to taxpayers each year by providing an alternative to incarceration. In 2012, 730 individuals participated for a total of over 51,000 hours.

Volunteers are assigned tasks at various Goodwill locations throughout the valley. By being exposed to a real work environment, program participants actively learn new skills and improve their self-esteem.

Additionally, program participants are referred to Goodwill’s Career Connections to receive free job search and job placement assistance. Qualified program participants may be offered employment at Goodwill upon completing their Community Service Worker assignment. Those interested must follow Goodwill’s internal recruitment process to be considered. Please contact (702) 214-2051 or VolunteerServices@sngoodwill.org for more information.
