In partnership with 33 schools in the Clark County School District, Goodwill’s Student Work Experience Program offers high school age students with disabilities the opportunity to gain experience in a realistic work environment while being supervised and supported by their referring teacher.

Multiple Goodwill Retail Stores, and the Goodwill Processing Center, are utilized to expose students to typical tasks performed in each environment.

The program gives students the opportunity to practice positive work habits outside of the classroom and encourages early preparation for successful transition into the workforce. An award ceremony is held at the end of the calendar year to thank and recognize each student for their hard work. In 2013, 655 students participated in the Student Work Experience Program.
